I would like to propose we make Python 3.6 our minimum version. As well as
improvements in pathlib, and increased support for 'path like' objects in
the standard library, Python 3.6 also includes new features such as format
strings (PEP 498) and the implementation of the __init_subclass__ hook
(PEP 487)
Ubuntu has supported Py3.6 since 17.10 including 18.04LTS (Py3.6.5). Fedora
26 and 28 is Py3.6.5
Trunk currently and has not run on windows for some time.
Can we make Python 3.6.5 our minimum?
Phill
